It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the joint meeting of the British Society of Cell biology and the British Society of Developmental Biology. This conference provides a unique forum to network and socialise with a wide cross section of the Cell and Developmental Biology community. 

The conference will feature plenary talks from leading developmental biologists including Mina Bissel and Sally Temple. The plenary talks will be complimented by symposia featuring invited talks from an outstanding line up of speakers from around the world.

BSCB/BSDB Conference Organising Committee 

BSDB Conference Information

BSDB members INCLUDING PIs can apply for BSDB Conference Grants to attend this meeting. The meeting will include:

  • The Waddington Medal Lecture from the recipient of the BSDB's most prestigious prize. 
  • The Cheryll Tickle Medal Lecture from the mid career, female scientist. 
  • The Beddington Lecture from the prize winner awarded the best PhD thesis in Developmental Biology. 
  • The BSDB AGM

BSCB  Conference Information

BSCB members can apply for BSCB Conference grants to attend this meeting. The BSCB run the Honor Fell / Company of Biologists Travel Awards which provide financial help to members of the society at the start of their scientific careers to enable them to attend meetings that are relevant to Cell Biology. The meeting will include:

  • A Graduate Symposium organised and run by PhD students and Postdocs. 
  • Poster Sessions at which the BSCB Young Cell Biologist of the year and the best Postdoc Poster are selected. 
  • The Hooke Medal Lecture from the recipient of the BSCB's premier award.
  • The Women in Cell Biology Early Career Award Medal Lecture from the recipient
  • The BSCB AGM

Most importantly a joint PhD and Postdoc Social event often involving a quiz. A splendid conference dinner with after-dinner prize giving and dance floor activity.
